Me and You
by
nicholas ayoola oladehin

If I be Adam and you be Eve
we would have been out of Eden
If I be Romeo and you be Juliet
we would have made Shakespeare proud
If I be a King and you a Queen
we would have a kingdom of our own
If I be Samson and you be Delilah
I would have been betrayed by you
If I be a Prince and you a Princess
we would have tied the knot
But now that am me
And you are you
Then lets make a story of our own

my wish
by
nicholas ayoola oladehin
i crave for my lovers touch
for it calms my heavy heart
i crave for my lovers smile
for it sets my mood alight
i crave for my lovers kiss
for it tunes my troubled mind
i crave for my lovers voice
for its music in disguise
i crave for my lovers eyes
for they assure me all is well
i crave for my lovers embrace
for indeed
it makes me feel at peace

Bon Voyage Feb 14th
by
nicholas ayoola oladehin

there’s a virus in the air,
its called the St. Valentine.
oh my God,
i really hope i don’t catch it.
for it makes the strong weak
and the weak strong
...especially the feminine fold.
funny enough,
while still incubating,
a handful of girls
have caught the bug
and have been transformed
gradually into angels
smiling, giggling and being nice.
But hey, i still haven’t forgotten,
Eve, you handed me the forbidden fruit
way back in Eden
i know you by name
so, stop being a saint.
kudos to men of great sights
that pierces through fogging dark
Eve has decided to change her birth date
like most girls
they now share the birth date
with St. Valentine.
But i say, ''bring it on Eve''
when the time and date approaches,
we will meet you
with lost purses
lost wallets
lost credit cards
empty accounts
and lots more...

DREAMLAND
by
Nicholas Ayoola Oladehin
Dreamland
Where the streets are lined with rubies
And everyone is a prince
Dreamland
Where there’s always a Romeo
For every lonely Juliet
Dreamland
Where the rivers flow with milk
And the streams are spiced with honey
Dreamland
Where the richest man is poor
And the poorest man rich
Dreamland
Where diamonds are like water
Free for all to take
Dreamland
Where a prisoner roams free
In his own tiny mind
Dreamland
Where my aged grandma
Still feels like a sweet sixteen
Dreamland
Where everyman is a friend
And all tribes are as one
Dreamland
Where we are all as kings
Men of equal rights
Dreamland
Where there is no law
No crime, no pain, no worries
Dreamland
A temporary home of make believe
For the lazy man
Who gladly retires to his own domain
Dreaming again and again
Dreamland
Where I travel to
When am weak, tired and worn out
Dreamland
Where I make peace with my body
After a long days job.......

THE ROCK CALLED JU'
by
nicholas ayoola oladehin

i call her by name
for she hails from motherland
richly endowed
and of ample height.
she indeed:
a giant in disguise
sends the shivers through my spine
as i ponder on random thoughts
all scattered in my head.
as i look for a way
to tackle this task
am confused the more.
many have crumbled at her feet
many have fled for dear life
many have begged to be set free
many have turned back half way
many have tried and failed
and tried over and over again
many have begged to be let lose
from the clutches of her embrace
i have admired this massive rock
i have climbed to its peak
i have experienced its climax point
i have laid at its feet
and dined at its table
i have cherished, loved and adored it
in my own little way
i long for home far away
and i long to go climbing
for its been 4moons past
since i set eyes on thee
a rock i'll climb over and over if i can
a rock of awesome view

The Name Game
by
nicholas ayoola oladehin
I know a couple of ladies
Named Glory, Precious, Mercy, Love, Victory, Blessing, Peace and a couple more
Sunday came
Time for church
Beautiful service
And then the pastor said
Glory is yours
Mercy is yours
Blessing is yours
Peace is yours
Victory is yours
And I kept saying amen
Oh my God, I didnt bargain for all this
Now am a polygamous man

TwIst Of NaMes
by
nicholas ayoola oladehin

Beauty is my friend
She’s fond of telling lies
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
I’ve always warned her
Now she’s behind bars
I was brought up well
Well enough to know
That charity begins at home
Indeed!!!
I have been donating to charity
For the past few month
Oh my God,
Now she’s carrying my baby.
